Biography

I am honored that you are checking out my site.  So you can get to know me a bit better, here is how God has been working in my heart.

I was born in Burnaby BC to a young married couple just starting out.  A dresser drawer was my crib, when I was an infant, and in place of a stroller my Daddy would carry me in his arms.  I hold that image close to my heart.  I reflect often that from the beginning my Heavenly Father has carried me every moment of my life.

I was blessed with a rich spiritual heritage.  I experienced community and a love for fellowship through the congregation of the tiny church we attended.  I was keenly aware of God’s presence in my life.  I remember talking to God at a very young age, and hearing His voice in response to the questions on my heart.

With the Godly example of Nana (my grandmother) set before me, I knew unequivocally that people were what mattered most to God.  When I imagine God’s love, I see my grandmother’s face looking at me.  With that look seared into my memory, I knew that whatever else I would do with my life, inspiring others to discover God’s love and be the best they can be because of Him was my life’s mission.

Years later, I married my husband Kelly in that same small town church.  Together we have three boys, Brandon (now married to Becky), Jadyn and Taelyn.

Early in our marriage, Kelly worked away in a logging camp while I managed a career of my own and raised our first two boys.  This gave me the unique experience of single parenting while trying to nurture a long distance marriage relationship.  Not an easy challenge, yet it provided much needed opportunity and life lessons.  I learned more than anything that listening to God is my only chance for survival in any circumstance.

Fourteen years after our second son was born, God surprised us with the news of our third pregnancy.  Our third son was born in 2002.  At the time Kelly’s company was on a twelve month work strike.  What overshadowed any of the hardships we suffered during that time was the intimate way in which we came to know Jehovah Jireh – God our Provider.

After an extensive career in the Financial Industry; training, coaching, managing and leading workshops, the tug on my heart reminded me of my true passion; to help others live in the freedom and abundance of Christ.

With For the Sake of ONE Ministries, my dear friend Kim Parker and I share the Word of God continually through podcast teaching messages, blogs, and online bible studies.  We have co-authored two bible studies, and most recently a book titled Radical Love – Forever Changed.

Opportunities exist all around me.  I don’t have to go far to find someone in need of the freedom that comes from hearing the Word of God.  My love for the Father’s truth and its transformational power is like oxygen to my soul.  My greatest reward is the intimate relationship I have with my Savior.

I live so that I can share the timeless gospel message with anyone who has ears, in any venue God allows, but what thrills me the most is being face to face and seeing the look on a woman’s face when she gets it – when she sees a new truth and that truth sets her free.

I would love to hear from you as we journey together.
